2023 Mercedes GLA And GLB Gets Minor But Important Updates

After unveiling the GLE and the GLE Coupe, Mercedes has now taken the wraps off the 2023 GLA and GLB yesterday with hybrid powertrains.

The SUVs now come with a significant design update, which includes an all-new face, a new bumper, a redesigned-rear, and 17-inch wheels (18- to 20-inch offered as optional).

On the inside though, you do get the latest generation of the MBUX infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Additionally, the SUVs also come with illuminated USB-C ports, a 360-degree camera, multiple airbags and an electronic stability programme.

The comfort seats now come wrapped with Artico artificial leather with 3D embossing. In terms of features, both the GLA and the GLB get high beam assist, reverse parking camera and more.

The 2023 GLA gets an option of four petrol and four diesel motors, with the former now working with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. There’s also a plug-in hybrid version of the SUV with a WLTP-certified range of up to 70km.

Similarly, the GLB SUV also gets four petrol and four diesel engine options mated to either a 7-speed or an 8-speed DCT.

Once launched, the GLA will compete against the BMW X1 and Audi Q3 while the GLB will rival the Audi Q5 and BMW X3.
