Starting with the design, the E-Class now gets a 22mm longer wheelbase, with a larger radiator grille at the front and a gloss black finish around the headlights.

From the sides, you’ll also notice its low-slung stance, with sharp creases at its shoulder line. It now comes with flush-fitting door handles from the S-Class and a new alloy wheel design for that added oomph.

The rear sees a split taillight setup, with triangular LED elements and a full-width chrome strip dominating the back. And yes, the new E-Class does come with rear-wheel steering for the first time.

Things are quite different from the inside as well, with a 12.3-inch instrument display and a 14.4-inch portrait-style infotainment display dominating the interiors, along with soft touch panels and higher-quality materials used for the updated upholstery.
