Packing the same flat-six, mid-engine layout as the Cayman GT4 RS, the Sypder RS makes a whopping 500PS (up by 80PS) of power and 449Nm of torque, which can rev up to 9,000rpm!

And while Porsche won’t sell it in manual trim, the seven-speed PDK gearbox here comes with a shorter gear ratio, helping it climb through the rev meter easily, clocking 0-100kmph in just 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 307kmph.

The Boxter Spyder RS’ front bumper design looks similar to the GT4 RS’, with an identical front bumper design, carbon-reinforced plastic frunk lid and a shorter front spoiler lip for better aero efficiency.

Porsche has also used a lightweight stainless steel sports exhaust system, which comes as standard, along with a redesigned drop-top for weight-saving measures, making it nearly 7.2kg lighter than the regular 718 Spyder.

In terms of mechanicals, the RS now sits lower by 30mm and gets a more relaxed chassis, along with Porsche Active Suspension Management, with a mechanical limited-slip differential too.
