Ranbir Kapoor’s Shamshera couldn’t draw audiences out of their homes, into theatres and its box office performance reaffirms the same. Despite full-fledged promotion campaigns, in three days, it could only earn approximately Rs 31 crore, which isn’t up to the mark.

Jagga Jasoos This 2017 film, directed by Anurag Basu, featured Kapoor's then girlfriend Katrina Kaif opposite him. Despite the pair's chemistry and refreshing narration style, the film managed to reportedly earn Rs 54.16 crore.

Tamasha 2015’s Tamasha could only amass a box office collection of Rs 67.26 Crore. Under Imtiaz Ali’s direction, Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were praised for their acting skills by the critics, but the complex plot couldn’t woo the audience.

Bombay Velvet This 2015 film failed disastrously at the box office with a collection of only Rs 23.67 crore. Made on a budget of Rs 120 crore, the film starred A-listers like Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar.
