All You Need To Know About The 2022 Apple iPad Pro, iPad & Apple TV 4K

After launching the new generation of iPhones, a month ago, Apple has introduced the iPad Pro M2, the iPad 2022 and the updated Apple TV 4K, today. All devices can be ordered from today, with in-store and online sales starting from October 28.

The 2022 11-inch iPad Pro with M2 chip starts at Rs 81,900 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 96,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model.

Meanwhile, the bigger 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at Rs 1,12,900 for the Wi-Fi only model and Rs 1,27,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular unit.

The re-designed iPad, on the other hand, will be sold for Rs 44,900 (Wi-Fi) and Rs 59,900 (Wi-Fi + Cellular).

The updated Apple TV 4K with HDR10+ support and  Siri remote will cost Rs 14,900.

The new Pro model might look the same but now comes with Apple’s latest M2 chip, which should promise blistering performance across the board.

It also supports ProRes video recording along with a new “Apple Pencil experience” which allows users to see the preview of their mark from as above as 12mm from the display. Colour options here remain limited to - Space Gray or Silver.

The biggest update here comes to the new iPad, which ditches the clunky bezels for a more modern look and a Liquid Retina display, seen on the 11-inch iPad Pro, iPad Air and iPad mini.

Also gone are the home button and the lightning adaptor, now replaced with USB-C support.

Apple has updated the iPad’s front camera with a 12MP wide sensor along with a new 12MP Landscape Ultra-Wide front camera. The front camera now supports a 122-degree field of view.

Powering it now is the company’s A14 bionic chip. There’s also now support for the new Magic Keyboard Folio cover with a trackpad.

Colour options here include - blue, pink, yellow, and silver, unlike the older models or even the updated Pro model.

Last but not least, the Apple TV 4K now runs on an A15 bionic chip and supports HDR10+ content along with Dolby Vision support.
