Jarrod Bowen - EnglandJarrod Bowen would be gutted to miss out on England's squad for the World Cup 2022. Bowen has been in scintillating form for his club West Ham, and was a part of Gareth Southgate's team in the Nations League, starting in all four games.

Roberto Firmino - Brazil Tite was spoilt for choices to such an extent that they had to overlook the highest-scoring Brazilian in the Premier League this season. Roberto Firmino has scored more goals than Antonio, Gabriel Jesus, and Gabriel Martinelli, but yet couldn't find a place in the squad.

Ferland Mendy - FranceNot every time do you see a first-choice player for Real Madrid unable to make it for the national team. Ferland Mendy, the Champions League winner, was ignored by Didier Deschamps for the World Cup in Qatar.

Matt Hummels -GermanyMatt Hummels wrote World Cup snub as one of the bigger disappointments of his career. Germany's coach Hansi Flick reasoned that he wanted to give an opportunity to young players, even though Hummels have performed better than Nico Schlotterbeck and Niklas Süle.
