The much-awaited Border Gavaskar Trophy will begin on 9th February at VCA Stadium in Nagpur. The list of injuries keeps growing with each passing day, though some of them will be available from the second Test.

Jasprit BumrahJasprit Bumrah has started training under the watchful eyes of medical experts, but he is unlikely to play his part in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023. Bumrah is not included in the squad for the first two Tests, and his inclusion from the remainder of the series is subject to fitness.

Cameron GreenAustralia are sweating over the fitness of Cameron Green, who will have a massive role to play on his first tour to India. Green is recovering from a finger injury, and remains doubtful for the first match.

Mitchell StarcLike Green, Mitchell Starc is also nursing a finger injury, and has already confirmed his availability for the first Test. While Starc remains a force to reckon with, Australia can manage without him in what would be a very spin-friendly condition.

Shreyas IyerA nagging back injury casts a cloud of uncertainty over Shreyas Iyer's head. In his absence, India are pondering whether to give Suryakumar Yadav a Test debut, or they may shift Shubman Gill down the order.

Rishabh PantRishabh Pant will not be available for the series because of grave injuries sustained during a horrific car crash. Pant is unlikely to play any form of cricket this year.
