Citroen eC3 Launched; Gets A Range Of 320km

French automaker Citroen has finally introduced the electrified version of its fossil-fuel powered C3, the eC3 starting for Rs 11.50 lakh and going all the way up to Rs 12.43 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Offered with a premium of around Rs 5 lakh, the eC3 will be available in two variants - Live and Feel.

Both inside and out, the eC3 is identical to the C3 with a rounded compact SUV design and a slightly sloping roofline.

In terms of features, the EV feature the same 10-inch infotainment display and a digital driver’s display. Other highlights include reverse parking sensors, dual airbags, ABS, power windows and more.

Coming to the heart of the matter, the eC3 is powered by a 29.2kWh battery pack which packs a range of 320km on a single charge. Citroen claims that the eC3 can be topped-up to 80 per cent in 57 minutes thanks to a DC fast charger.

Power-wise, the eC3’s electric motor makes 57PS and 143Nm of torque, which is higher than the petrol model. However, considering its 300kg of additional bulk, 0-60kmph figures are impressive at around 6.8 seconds (claimed).

Citroen will be bundling in a seven-year warranty with every eC3. For now, it primarily competes against the Tata Tigor EV.
