The ongoing trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has been making the headlines for weeks now. While the world is yet to find out how much exactly Depp and Heard have been spending on their defence, here’s a look at their net worth to see what’s helping them sign their cheques.

Both Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are A-list Hollywood celebrities and hence multi-millionaires by default. However, there’s a stark difference between how much each of them are individually worth. According to celebritynetworth.com, Depp is said to be worth around $100 million. In comparison, Amber Heard is reported to be worth around $8 million.

Depp is rumoured to charge around $20 million per film, with 20 per cent of the back end from the film’s earnings. This has helped the 58-year old in amassing a fortune of $650 million between 2003 to 2016. On the other hand, Heard’s career trajectory hasn’t been as successful as Depp’s. Her big role came as Mera in the DC Extended Universe’s Aquaman franchise in 2018. The actress was rumoured to be paid around $5 million for the first Aquaman movie, and $10 million for the sequel.

Depp is said to have multiple houses spread across the globe. The highlight of which includes a massive 7,430 square feet 8-bedroom home in the Hollywood Hills which he bought for $1.8 million back in 1995. Depp is said to spend $3,50,000 monthly on staff, wine and supplies. Meanwhile not much is known about Amber Heard’s individual assets. Although, there have been claims of the actress being in a “dire financial situation” before the trial began. The 36-year old is said to have been struggling to pay the donation pledge of $3.5 million to ACLU.

Johnny Depp has built quite a garage for himself, which includes a 1959 Corvette from The Rum Diary film, and a 2015 Range Rover both worth over $54,000. He also owns a Rolls Royce Wraith, which is rumoured to cost around $3.28 million. At one point, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor also owned a massive yacht worth around $22 million, which he then sold to author J.K. Rowling in 2016.
