While the Multi family has had a Pikes Peak edition for years, this is the first time the moniker will be carried over to the new V4-powered model.

The most significant visual change here comes in the form of the ‘Pikes Peak’ livery plastered all over Multistrada’s bodywork, including the fuel tank.

Other updates involve Desmosedici GP ’21 inspired graphics, a smaller windshield, golden Ohlins front fork, dual tone seats with V4 logo and of course, a ‘Ducati Corse’ badge on the beak

Being a top-shelf model, there’s an extensive amount of carbon-fibre spread across the bodywork, including the carbon fibre Akrapovic titanium exhaust. The folks at Ducati have reworked the chassis, for better handling. This includes altering the rake and adding a single-sided swingarm

Also new here are the 17-inch forged aluminium wheels, which are 2.7kg lighter than the 19-inch units offered on the standard model. This helps the bike tip the scale at 213kg, 4kgs lighter than the V4 S.

Suspension is handled by a premium Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 unit (front and rear), while braking is handled by a dual 330mm disc at the front and a 265mm unit at the rear (both by Brembo)

Ducati has also reworked the rider’s triangle, with narrower handlebars, higher set footpegs and an increase in lean angle for better track use.

Speaking of which, the Pikes Peak model is powered by the same V4 Granturismo engine which makes 170PS of power and 125Nm of torque. There’s also a new ‘Race Mode,’ which allows the rider to climb higher revs, by setting back the rev limiter.

Feature-list here consists of a 6.5-inch TFT display, radar-powered adaptive cruise control, navigation, cornering ABS, wheelie control and more. The Multistrada Pikes Peak competes against BMW R1250GS and Harley-Davidson Pan America.
