Indian-American Neal Mohan has taken over as the CEO of YouTube. The decision comes shortly after Susan Wojcicki's resignation on February 16, 2023. Mohan was serving as the firm's chief product officer, under Wojcicki, prior to this professional elevation.

Education Mohan is armed with a degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was reportedly an Arjay Miller Scholar.

Early Career He began his career as a consultant with Accenture in August 1996, and soon moved on to a start-up called NetGravity, where he served as Vice President—Business Operations. The firm was eventually acquired by Doubleclick.

Career at Google The 49-year-old helmed Google's display and video advertising business from 2008 to 2015, where he oversaw advertising product offerings on YouTube, the Google Display Network, AdSense, AdMob, and DoubleClick ad tech products.

YouTube Mohan joined YouTube as its chief product officer in 2015, shortly after Wojcicki was onboarded as the firm's CEO in 2014. He played a key role in launching properties such as YouTube Premium, YouTube Music, YouTube Kids and YouTube Shorts.
