F1 Season Preview: What's In Store For 2023

With testing in Bahrain already wrapping up, the world watches as the Formula 1 2023 season draws closer at barely a week away. Here's a quick look at what's in stores for us fans:

The 2023 Calendar F1's growing roster of races has one more event than last year for a grand total of 23. While the French Grand Prix is no longer on the calendar, F1 is gearing up for an anticipated Las Vegas race in November, along with a return to the Qatar GP in October.

The 2023 Grid Pierre Gasly has a new home this year, moving to Alpine on a multi-year deal following Fernando Alonso's move to Aston Martin. Meanwhile, Nico Hülkenberg has made an F1 comeback with HAAS as Mick Schumacher takes up reserve duties at Mercedes.

Newcomers to F1 This year also sees an explosion of new talent in the lineup. Logan Sargeant will debut for Williams, becoming the first US driver since 2015, while Nyck de Vries will join Alpha Tauri as Oscar Piastri takes up Daniel Ricciardo's old McLaren spot.

Tech Trends After 2022's massive changes, 2023 seems to be more of the same, with teams further developing their aero skills and reliability. While all teams have fixed their 'porpoising' issues, winglet details and sidepods round out most of the changes on this year's cars.
