French Open 2023: Major Contenders

The French Open, also known as Roland Garros, one of the most prestigious tennis tournaments in the world, will get underway from 28 May in Paris.

Over the years, the tournament has seen an absurd domination of Rafael Nadal, who has won the title on 14 occasions. But Nadal is injured this time, and the mantle is to be taken over by next-gen players.

Carlos AlcarazCarlos Alcaraz, the world number one in the ATP men's rankings, will be a man to beat in Paris. Alcaraz is in scintillating form, and has already won six titles on clay.

Novak DjokovicNovak Djokovic, the 22-time major winner, will be looking to go ahead of Rafael Nadal by winning the French Open 2023. However, Djokovic is struggling with his injury, and recently lost to Holger Rune in the quarter-finals.

Stefanos TistsipasStefanos Tsitsipas' best campaign at French Open came in 2021, when he was just a set away from winning his maiden title. Tsitsipas will be eyeing to get his hand on Roland Garros 2023.
