What’s also notable here is the 29 per cent YoY increase it managed to book despite the increasing competition.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon RA more affordable option in the carmaker’s lineup, the Wagon R still remains the go-to choice of the masses, with 17,305 units sold in March. However, the popularity of the Wagon R seems to be fading, with around a 30 per cent YoY decline compared to last year.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara BrezzaIn a rather surprising turn of events, Maruti Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza has outsold the newly launched Grand Vitara, clocking in 16,227 units in the month of March.

Maruti Suzuki BalenoThe Maruti Suzuki Baleno is slowly creeping in on Swift’s market share, registering an impressive 16,168 units. This was up by 11 per cent compared to last year, which saw 14,520 units of the hatchback being sold in March 2022.

Tata Nexon  Topping the charts yet again is the Tata Nexon, with 14.769 units last month. This was a 3 per cent rise from the 14,315 units sold in the same month in 2022.

Hyundai Creta  The updated Hyundai Creta clocked an impressive figure of 14,026 units sold in March. This doesn’t come as a surprise, considering Creta’s value-for-money proposition in terms of features and a wide array of transmission options.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire Perhaps the most popular sub-compact sedan in India, the Dzire 13,394 units last month, which was down from the previous year’s 18,623 units.

Tata PunchTata seems to be dominating the SUV segment in India. After the Nexon, the Punch has now emerged as the second Tata product to break into the top five highest-selling SUVs list, with 10,894 units sold in March 2023.
