What’s also notable here is the 29 per cent YoY increase it managed to book despite the increasing competition.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon RA more affordable option in the carmaker’s lineup, the Wagon R still remains the go-to choice of the masses, with 17,305 units sold in March. However, the popularity of the Wagon R seems to be fading, with around a 30 per cent YoY decline compared to last year.

Maruti Suzuki BalenoThe Maruti Suzuki Baleno is slowly creeping in on Swift’s market share, registering an impressive 16,168 units. This was up by 11 per cent compared to last year, which saw 14,520 units of the hatchback being sold in March 2022.

Hyundai Grand i10Adding some much-needed competition to Maruti Suzuki’s dominance, Hyundai sold 9,304 units of the Grand i10 last month. In need of an update, this was a YoY decline of 3 per cent, compared to 9,687 units sold in the same month last year.

Maruti Suzuki AltoDespite the 800cc trim being discontinued, the Alto remains an iconic car, registering 9,139 units. Thanks to the added bit of modernity, the compact hatchback registered an impressive YoY growth of 20 per cent compared to last year.
