A series win will be a massive booster for Hardik Pandya's aspiration to lead the country in the upcoming T20I World Cup next year. New Zealand will be high on confidence and winning this series, in the absence of senior players, will be a big statement from them.

Team News  - India India might give Prithvi Shaw his long over-due T20I debut. If Shaw comes into the mix, either Ishan Kishan or Rahul Tripathi will have to warm the bench. The decision to pick one between Umran Malik and Yuzvendra Chahal will depend on the nature of the surface.

Team News - New Zealand New Zealand don't have any injury concerns, and they are unlikely to make any changes from the last ODI. They must be happy with how their spinners stepped up in Lucknow to make a match out of nothing.
