Ishan Kishan started the season with a brilliant half-century, but has faded since then.  He has managed 199 runs in eight T20s, and his strike hovers around 108. Kishan has failed to step up to the expectations, and his lean patch has also contributed to Mumbai Indians' drastic run in IPL 2022.

Shardul Thakur Signed by Delhi Capitals for Rs. 10.25 Cr

Shardul Thakur's form at the international level hasn't yet translated to Indian Premier League 2022.  After losing Kagiso Rabada and Avesh Khan, Delhi needed reinforcements in their bowling department. They pinned their hope on Shardul Thakur, who has failed to impress with both bat and ball.  In 8 T20s, he has amassed 88 runs and claimed 4 wickets.

Tim David Signed by Mumbai Indians for Rs. 8.25 Cr

Tim David is among the hottest commodities in T20 cricket. He plays T20 cricket around the world, and is more than able of changing the fate of the game on his own.  However, he hasn't yet flourished in the IPL. He managed 13 runs in two games before Mumbai Indians dropped him out of the playing XI.

Shahrukh Khan's extraordinary hitting ability powered Tamil Nadu to a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2020-21 championship.  There was a glimpse of his talent in IPL 2021. IPL 2022 was going to be a breakthrough season for him, but he hasn't been at his fluent best for Punjab Kings.  Shahrukh has managed 98 runs in seven matches.

Virat Kohli was retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 15 crore. Stepping down from captaincy was supposed to bring the best out of him. But his form has only worsened. Kohli got for a golden duck in two back-to-back matches.  He has scored 128 runs in nine matches this season.
