But did you know that the episode was directed by Geeta Vasant Patel, an Indian-origin filmmaker from Illinois, USA?

Before House of the Dragon, the filmmaker started her career in television working as a second-unit director on the Wachowski's Netflix series Sense 8.

Then went to work on an array of popular projects like The Mindy Project, Superstore, Santa Clarita Diet, Fresh Off The Boat and more.

This is in addition to her documentary work, which includes 2008’s Project Kashmir and 2014’s Meet The Patels, starring alongside her brother Ravi Patel.

Speaking of whom, you may have seen Ravi on projects like Master of None and Wonder Woman 1984.

Coming back to Patel, the 46-year-old was reportedly scheduled to direct two episodes of The Witcher season 2 but later dropped before filming began, working on HOTD instead.

While we don’t know if Patel will be helming any more HOTD episodes, her IMDB suggests that she’ll be adapting her 2014 documentary Meet The Patels into a featured film.
