Yesterday, BMW unveiled its most powerful hypernaked motorcycle yet with the launch of the M 1000 R. This competition-spec, road-legal rocket puts out an insane 213PS of power, helping it top out at 314kmph! This makes it the most powerful naked superbike in India. But until it arrives on our shores, here are some offerings that put out jaw-dropping numbers.

Ducati Streetfighter V4 – 211PS  Currently, the most powerful naked superbike in India also happens to be the best-looking one, although we may be a little biased. This creation from Bologna puts out 211PS of power and 123Nm of torque! But prepare to shell out a pretty penny with the standard model costing upwards of Rs 20 lakh!

Kawasaki Z H2 – 200PS  In case you want to swap out Italian flair for Japanese reliability, how about the Z H2 from Team Green?  Carrying the iconic Ninja H2 moniker, this streetfighter is powered by a 998cc liquid-cooled inline-four motor, which makes 200PS and 137Nm. But don’t expect to spend any less here, as it costs almost the same as the V4, at Rs 22.79 lakh (ex-showroom).

Triumph Speed Triple 1200 – 180PS  Combined with drool-worthy looks and top-shelf suspension, the Speed Triple is also the most powerful Triumph offering in India, with 180PS of power and 125Nm of torque. Fortunately, it isn’t as expensive as the first two offerings in the list, at Rs 17.95 lakh (ex-showroom).

Aprilia Tuono 1100 V4 Factory – 175PS  The Aprilia Tuono has been a poster-worthy machine for many generations.  Essentially a stripped-down version of the legendary RSV4, the Tuono is powered by a 1077cc V4 motor, which makes 173PS of power and 121Nm of torque. Getting your hands on one might be tricky though, with Aprilia getting the bike on per order basis to India.

Triumph Rocket 3 R – 167PS  Perhaps the most unconventional entry on our list, the Triumph Rocket 3 R may not look like it can go fast, but swing a leg over it and you’ll see God himself in a few seconds. Packing a car-sized 2458cc engine, the Rocket 3 R puts out 167PS of power and 221Nm of torque. Prices start at Rs 19.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

BMW S 1000 R – 165PS  Essentially the BMW S 1000 RR sans fairing and a few additional ponies, the S 1000 R combines German refinement with bonkers power delivery. Powered by a 999cc, inline-four motor, it makes 165PS of power and 114Nm of torque. It retails for Rs 18.30 lakh (ex-showroom).

Ducati Streetfighter V2 – 155.82PS  Speaking of faired superbikes stripped down to their naked selves, the recently launched Streetfighter V2 is essentially a Panigale V2 without a fairing and a unique-looking headlamp. Powering it is the same Superquadro 955cc, which makes 155.18PS of power and 101.4Nm of torque.
