New-Gen Renault Duster Unveiled; Will It Come To India?

After a long, long wait, the new-gen Renault Duster has been finally showcased with a host of updates.

Scheduled to be here by 2025, the SUV now sits on the same platform that also underpins some of the Nissan offerings. It gets an updated headlamp design with Y-shaped DRLs, chrome elements everywhere, squared-off wheel arches, roof rails and more.

Also new here are the 18-inch blacked-out alloy wheels, with Y-shaped tail lights at the rear. The luggage capacity now stands at 472 litres.

Inside, the new-gen Duster packs a centrally mounted console, and two digital screens - a 7-inch one for the driver and a 10.1-inch touchscreen that serves as the infotainment unit.

Other highlights here include wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control and the ADAS safety suite.

Renault will offer a total of three powertrain options - a  1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol hybrid, a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol that comes with a 48V starter motor and a 1.0-litre petrol-LPG, which might be limited to specific international models.

Once launched, the new-gen Duster will compete against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and more.
