President Biden recently made his G20 appearance on-board his $1.5 million Cadillac called 'Beast'. Here's everything you need to know about it.

The ‘Beast’ was built by General Motors back in 2018 at the request of the US government and carries the code name ‘Stagecoach’. As one can imagine, it serves as the official car of Joe Biden.

As per reports, the Beast is said to weigh around 6,800–9,100 kg, with a capacity to seat seven people. It measures nearly 18 feet long from bumper to bumper and is said to be hermetically sealed against chemical attacks.

The same reports state that it runs on flat tyres, and packs evasive and defensive devices like night vision, smoke screens, and oil slick. Additionally, the car features an armour made out of aluminium, ceramic, and steel.

The exterior of the car is said to have a thickness of eight inches, with the windows being multi-layered with a thickness of five inches each. Each door is said to weigh as much as the one found on a Boeing 757 and can deliver a 120-volt shock.

In case of an attack, the car comes loaded with pump-action shotguns, rocket-powered grenades, night vision equipment, and tear gas grenades.

Since you can’t be too careful, it is reported that there are two identical Beasts with matching registrations in every motorcade of the president.
