Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Launched At Rs 1.25 Lakh With 200MP Camera

The highly-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S23 has been officially unveiled today, with three phones in the lineup - the Galaxy S23, the Galaxy S23 Plus and the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The S23 Ultra starts at Rs 1.25 lakh, while the S23 and the S23 Plus are priced at Rs 74,999 and Rs 79,999 respectively.

The top-spec variant in the line-up is the S23 Ultra, which comes with a huge 6.8-inch QHD+ display (3088 x 1440 pixels resolution) with a 120Hz refresh rate.

It also gets S-Pen support and is powered by the latest-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, with up to 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

Samsung will also sell the Ultra in three lower-spec trims - 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage. All of this is backed by a 5000mAh battery, which offers wired and wireless fast charging right out of the box.

In the camera department, the Ultra comes with a whopping 200-megapixel camera, a 10-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide angle lens. At the front, it packs a 50-megapixel selfie camera. And yes, you do get Astro photography mode with the rear sensor.

In terms of processing power, Samsung claims the S23 Ultra has a 40 per cent faster GPU and NPU, which allows for the addition of real-time Ray Tracing.

Coming to the standard S23 and the S23 Plus, both carry a similar design but you get a 6.1-inch screen on the former and a 6.6-inch FHD+ display on the latter.

Both are powered by the same Gen 2 processor and come in a variety of memory and storage options, starting with the 8GB RAM + 128GB offered on the standard model and 8GB RAM + 256GB on the Plus.

Both feature a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary shooter at the rear, along with a 2-megapixel ultra-wide and 10-megapixel telephoto lens.

The biggest difference here is the battery sizes. The standard S23 gets a 3900mAh battery, while the S23 Plus features a 4700mAh battery, with wired and wireless fast charging.

All three Samsung devices run on Android 13 with the company's custom One UI 5.1 and can be bought in four different colour options - phantom black, green, cream and lavender.
