The current year has been interesting, to say the least, with an avalanche of EVs reaching a crescendo. But amidst all that chaos, some manufacturers are keeping the romance alive, offering limited-edition models of their cars with a rare-to-find manual transmission. To celebrate the occasion, we’ve taken a look at five new cars and their restomod that still like to do things the old way.

Lamborghini Diablo EccentricaWhile Lamborghini seems to be on track to embrace its electric future with the Lanzador, fans of the manufacturer are pushing to turn back the clock, one restomod at a time. This one, in particular, is called the Lamborghini Diablo “Eccentrica”. The supercar draws much design inspiration from the Diablo GT, GTR, and SV, along with a modified 5.7L V12 motor that produces over 500PS, paired with an open-gate manual gearbox.

Aston Martin ValourAston Martin didn’t hold back with the all-new Valour, drawing its design inspirations from its Le Mans car of the yore, paying homage to its 110-year-old legacy. But what really acts as a finishing touch here is the punchy  5.2L twin-turbo V12 motor that makes 714PS of power, mated to a manual gearbox. Each of its 110 units though, comes with an asking price of  $1.5 million.

2024 Porsche 911 S/TSpeaking of respecting tradition, Porsche managed to do the same with equal grandeur, introducing the 911 S/T to mark its 60th anniversary. Finished in retro elements from top to bottom, the 911 S/T gets a  4.0L boxer engine, that makes 525PS of power, mated to a manual transmission.

2023 Toyota SupraThe Toyota Supra’s reputation has suffered in recent times internationally, with some claiming it to be just another re-badged BMW. Regardless though, the moniker still holds its own weight, with a reputation of being a driver-focused car. The good news is, the 2023 model continues the tradition by offering a choice of manual and automatic transmission to the buyer.
