This begs the question –– who's more powerful than Teth-Adam himself? With plenty of exciting heroes (and villians) on the roster, let's see who could take the antihero on, and come out on top.

#6 –– Martian ManhunterWhile many of us remember J'onn J'onnz from the iconic Justice League Animated series for his calm wit and shapshifting powers, he's also a pretty strong character in the comics –– even holding his own against the entire League in one storyline.

#5 –– Captain AtomBorn Nathanial Adam, the hero was transformed into a being of vast 'quantum' energy after 1960s government experiments transformed his body and sent him 20 years into the future. Capable of immense feats of strength and durability, his only weakness is being overloaded from too much energy.

#4 –– DamageThe somewhat unimaginatively-named antihero has the ability to transform into an unstoppable monster once a day –– kind of like the Hulk, but with a daily subscription model.Able to land hits on The Flash and shrug off Superman's heat vision, the League is lucky that his transformation lasts just a single hour.

#3 –– IconAlt-universe Icon AKA Arnus had similar origins to Superman, crashing onto a slave plantation instead. Developing his powers during the US Civil War, Icon can go toe-to-toe with Superman and even has energy manipulation powers.

#2 –– SupermanOf course Clark Kent would show up on this list. Capable of insane feats in the Golden Age of Comics, his modern avatar is still one of the most powerful (and famous) superheroes ever created –– with only his iron-hard sense of morality trumping his sheer strength.

#1 –– The SpectreWhile Marvel has a bunch of universal beings at the top, DC Comics has just one mysterious figure at the top –– The Spectre. As 'God's figure of vengeance', this entity changes hosts at will and has battled for the fate of the universe multiple times –– and can take away Superman's powers at the snap of a finger.
