Barely a month remains before the T20 World Cup gets underway in Australia. As always, most of the teams have placed faith in their senior players for the marquee event.

But there were some young talents who forced their way into the squad, on the grounds of consistent performances. Let's take a look at the youngest player from each of the eight major teams participating in the tournament.

IndiaAt the age of 23, Arshdeep Singh is the youngest cricketer in India's squad. Arshdeep has managed to translate his IPL form onto the international stage, displaying maturity beyond his age. With 14 wickets in 11 T20Is, he is among the most consistent fast bowlers.

West IndiesObed Mccoy is the youngest representation from West Indies in the World Cup. McCoy has picked 35 wickets in 23 T20Is. He has been the most economical bowler for Barbados Royals in CPL 2022.

South AfricaTristan Stubbs made his national debut in July this year, and he is already on the teamsheet for the T20I World Cup. Stubbs impressed everyone with his fiery knock in Bristol, where he scored 72 off just 28 deliveries. Stubbs is likely to be utilised as a middle-order hitter by South Africa.

AustraliaOnly four Australian players bound for the T20I World Cup are aged below 30. Tim David, 26, is the youngest as he earned a surprise call-up from the national team. David scored his first T20I fifty yesterday against India.
