The French luxury brands have come together for a one-off fashion auction to raise money for healthcare workers. La Mode S’Engage will help fund non-profit organisation #ProtegeTonSoignant, which have been sourcing and distributing supplies to French healthcare workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

According to Bof, more than 80 brands have been confirmed for the auction, including Chanel, Celine, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga and Comme des Garçons.

Each designer will either customise an archive item or design a new piece from scratch for the auction, which will include a reference to the signature blue colour of #ProtegeTonSoignant. The product will be sold to the highest bidder and all proceeds will go to French hospitals and healthcare workers. Although it has been launched five weeks ago, #ProtegeTonSoignant has rasied over €5 million with support from the Fédération de la haute couture et de la Mode and the French Fashion Institute.
