if you still have no idea what you are going to binge watch this weekend, you don’t need to worry. We have just the list for you to pick a show from. BBC Culture has curated ‘100 greatest TV series of the 21st Century and shows like ’. Game of Thrones, Bojack Horseman, Fleabag, The Crown, Stranger Things, Narcos, Chernobyl and Schitt’s Creek have made it to the list, and honestly are a must-watch, if you haven’t already.
Spanish series, La Casa De Papel aka Money Heist has also been mentioned on the BBC Culture list. One of the longest-running American shows Grey’s Anatomy is also listed along with the HBO series The Wire starring Dominic West, John Doman, Idris Elba, Frankie Faison and others. The series that aired between 2002 and 2008 was placed first on the list. Mad Men scored the second spot and Breaking Bad was given the third spot on the list. The annual poll curated by BBC Culture is administered by film critics and industry experts from across the globe. Talking about the snub, while in the previous years a list of greatest films directed by women and best non-English language movies were included, this time the curators decided to give more relevance to TV shows in 2021, considering how these shows helped us all survive the pandemic.
