After a recent spree of high-profile hires and announcements regarding a future IPO, popular grocery delivery app Zepto shared a lighthearted note exploring the curious insights they discovered while combing through their customers’ order metrics — with sex as the prime focus.

According to Zepto, urban Indians have markedly shifted their mindsets when it comes to the kind of products they’re liable to use in the bedroom (or wherever else desire calls). Across the country, orders for condoms, lubes, sex toys and more spike between 9PM to 1AM; with the former showing a surprising level of order variety between major metros. While products such as ‘real feel’ and ‘ultra-thin’ condoms were universally popular — with a loyal customer base in Bengaluru and Chennai — Mumbai and Pune were particularly progressive, topping the charts when it came to orders of massagers, female condoms and rings. Delhi ordered the most lubes, while customers in eastern regions stuck to the old-school trend of flavoured condoms — strawberry being the pick of the season.
