What Should Be India’s National Food?

The thing with India’s diversity is that it gives birth to several conflicts as well. Be it politics, be it food. Most northerners will not shy away from elevating butter chicken to the position of India’s national food but dosais, bondais and parottas (and the beef fry too) would be the choice of many living south of the Deccan. Furthermore, biryani has a place in everyone’s hearts, while the Bengali cuisine can hardly get a better representation than bhetki paturi. But what about daal baati? And all the delectable Gujju food?

As a foodie, or even not, what do you vote for on World Food Day today?
