From public outbursts to being assaulted in broad daylight, a volley of Bollywood celebrities have seen it all! Here’s a list of B-town artists who’d been slapped in public for reasons best known to them.

Ranveer Singh  

The SIIMA Awards 2022 saw fans go berserk upon spotting their favorite stars on the red carpet. Despite tight security and an entourage of protective staff, things spiraled out of control when Ranveer Singh stepped out to wave at fans. In the heat of the moment, Singh ended up being on the receiving end of a tight slap by his own bodyguard! Given how the situation demanded some force from his security’s end, the movements led to a bit of a tussle that ended in the actor getting a hard and unexpected pat on his face. Singh being the cool-headed gentleman that he most often is, let things go.

Gauahar Khan  

In 2014, Khan found herself in a rather disturbing situation–In a rather unusual turn of events, a man from the audience went up to the actress and slapped her, and left her in tears. The unruly fan was booked for molestation and assault, who reportedly in his defense stated that it was Khan’s provocative sense of style and dance numbers that triggered him.

Salman Khan 

It is believed a mystery woman once gatecrashed into a celebrity party in 2009, only to slap Sally bhai! While her identity remains unknown, the haggard woman allegedly assaulted Sushmita Sen and Sohail Khan as well on the same occasion. She was then escorted out of the place.  

Aditya Narayan  

As per popular reports, Narayan was once slapped by a woman after he began misbehaving with her at a bar. The inebriated singer allegedly passed lewd remarks at the lady, which led to a violent altercation that eventually led to him being slapped by the woman. Nayaran however refuted the claims of such an incident, when the media quizzed him about the same.

Amrita Rao 

It was in 2006 when Esha Deol slapped her on the sets of Pyare Mohan. The news spread like wildfire. In an interview, Deol confessed to the same and stated, “Yes, I slapped Amrita. One day after pack-up, she abused me in front of my director, Indra Kumar, and my cameraman and I thought that was totally out of line. To protect my self-respect and dignity, in the heat of the moment, I slapped her. I have no regrets because she totally deserved it for her behavior towards me at that point in time. I just stood up for myself and my dignity.” 

Karan Singh Grover 

Grover is happily married today. However, life wasn’t always rosy for the actor who was once slapped in public by his ex-wife Jennifer Winget, who reportedly lost her calm after learning about his affair. The disturbing incident happened in broad daylight on a set. However, the ex-couple continued shooting even after the incident but eventually parted ways. While Winget remains single, Grover is expecting a child with Bipasha Basu.
