To make the screenplay look more interesting, the team has now introduced four new characters to the story. Charithra Chandran, Shelley Conn, Calam Lynch, and Rupert Young are all set to star in the new season of the popular Shondaland series. According to Variety, Chandran will essay the role of Edwina Sharma, who has been taught by her older sister Kate to be the perfect debutante. The actress’ character is kind-natured and endlessly endearing. She will be looking for ‘a true love match’ in the new season.

As for Conn, she will be seen essaying the role of Mary Sharma. She is newly returned to London with her daughters and is forced to face people scrutinying her all the time. Lynch will play Theo Sharpe while Young will play Jack. Theo is an intellectual, hardworking printer’s assistant while Jack is the newest member of the ton. He has a connection to one of the most notable families.

Earlier, the team of Bridgerton had issued a statement announcing Page’s exit from the show. “We’ll miss Simon’s presence onscreen, but he will always be a part of the Bridgerton family. Daphne will remain a devoted wife and sister, helping her brother navigate the upcoming social season and what it has to offer – more intrigue and romance than my readers may be able to bear,” read the statement that was shared on social media.
