Being a celebrity can be tough. When you are in the public eye, you have to be used to people flouting your sense of privacy. That, however, is much more painful to see inflicted upon your little human because of you. Here is a list of celebrities who handled parenting like pros despite their careers and fame.

When she first got pregnant, many had expressed how they felt Kim K would not be able to handle motherhood. However, she has managed that exceptionally with her rigorous career. She has often spoken about the value of family in her life. We can tell the family is close-knit with the snippets of her life that she shares.

Like all things in their lives, her split from Kanye West has also become very public. In the media whirlwind that followed, the both of them had made it clear that they are trying to make it as easy on their four kids, North, 8, and Chicago, 3, and sons Saint, 5, and Psalm, 2, as possible. The two have remained amicable, the beauty mogul has also continued to seek creative advice from West. She would also be retaining the West last name to maintain that connect with her children.

Not only are the two absolute couple goals, with her sass and his awe of her, but they also bring the same energy to their parenting game. As is her nature, she speaks exactly what is on her mind; the couple does not care to have a perfect life online, they share their real ones. And she is full of parenting hacks she uses on her daughter, Luna, 4, and a son, Miles, 2; “I love when kids are beyond obsessed with something. It makes life so much easier,” she tweeted. “I just tell miles to eat his lunch because it’s Lightning McQueen’s favourite and he does it. He does whatever Lightning McQueen says, always.”

The British singer-songwriter is finally back and giving in to her public presence. Recently having gone through a divorce had worsened the traumas of her childhood, forcing her into an emotional shutdown. Her 9-year-old son, Angelo and his “sweet, simple questions,” that she did not know how to answer are what she has addressed on her upcoming body of work, to be called 30. Her hope is that this album would let him see the divorce through her eyes. She currently co-parents him with her ex-husband Simon Konecki.

They have raised two down to earth, polite children, which is laudable when you are celebrities of the strata that they are. This couple may have a fair share of rumours but never for their parenting. Although many believe that they may be too hands-off, Will Smith himself agreed they may have “gone too far,” Jaden and Willow may be proof that their approach has merit. In their household, there is no punishment and the children are treated as equals, responsible for the consequences of their actions. “We respect our children the way we would respect any other person. Things like cleaning up their room. You would never tell a full-grown adult to clean their room, so we don’t tell our kids to clean their rooms,” Will Smith once shared.

  1. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard

Another couple on this list of celebrities, they have not tried to shove under the rug the tribulations of being a parent. They had their two daughters within two years of each other and have aced raising the two daughters similar in their ages. They have made it a point to keep it real with the girls, sharing everything from how babies are made to Shepard’s relapse. They also make it a point to resolve fights in front of them so they pick it up as a skill.

However, they have their moments of exasperation where they cannot care to be perfect; “Sometimes when they’re having a tantrum, treat them like the hot girl in high school. Just ignore them and they’ll come to you,” advised Shepard to Bell.
