An underrated comedy, the 2006 Khosla Ka Ghosla, not only makes for a good laugh but is also a relatable, feel-good film. A commentary on social issues and the generation gap, Dibakar Banerjee’s debut film highlighted property scams in the most relevant and funny way. Written by Jaideep Sahni, the comedy-drama stars Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Ranvir Shorey, Vinay Pathak, Parvin Dabas, Tara Sharma, Kiran Juneja among others.

 

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia

This American sitcom that revolves around a gang of five alcoholic, narcissists, running a bar in 5 south Philly is rib-tickling with funny dialogues and scenes that can be watched any time of the day. From the gang trying to win an award to them travelling for a picnic and playing the famous The Game Of Game, the chemistry between the gang is phenomenally adorable and of course, funny.  Starring Glenn Howerton and Kaitlin Olson, and others, the series is created by Rob McElhenney.

Amit Ravindernath Sharma’s Badhai Ho is unique with an exciting storyline and direction. With embarrassing good news and family drama, this Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta and Sanya Malhotra starrer will give you good laugh breaks with its snappy dialogues like when Nakul played by Khurrana discusses the matter with his girlfriend Renee, played by Sanya Malhotra, he angrily adds, “Jis umar me launde ki shaadi ka intezam karte hain, ye sahbaale ka saath mein kar rahe hain.”

 

Jolly LLB 2

Even though the film is an earnest attempt to showcase the world of lawyers and their battle for justice, it’s surprisingly funny and filled with witty humour by Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Huma Qureshi, and others. Watch it for a good story, and even better comedy, y’all.

 

Kesu Ee Veedinte Nadhan

Simple yet smart and hilarious. Kesu Ee Veedinte Nadhan revolves around Kesu and his family. Starring Dileep and Kavitha Ranjhini in lead roles, the story looks at the idea of how fortune favours the good with snappy and fun-filled family moments.  

 

Hungama 2
