Actor Deepika Padukone has revealed what her favourite comfort food is in an Instagram post. The actress, who started anew on social media this year after archiving/deleting all her previous posts, posted a video where she spoke about how rasam rice is her go-to comfort food.

“I think my favourite go-to comfort food is just homemade South Indian food,” Deepika Padukone said in the video which had clips of rasam being poured on rice. The actress ends the video with a “yum”.

Hey fellow Bollywood buddies, Ananya Panday and Parineeti Chopra chimed in with their go-to comfort food choices. “PIZZZAAAAAAAAA,” wrote Parineeti Chopra while Ananya Panday wrote: “Ur house South Indian food is my comfort food also.. yum to another level.”

Deepika Padukone has often spoken about how much she loves food and in an interview with Hindustan Times, the actress had proclaimed her love for chaat. “I love chaat; Delhi is famous for it. And even all the street food available in Mumbai. I’m quite happy having stuff like quinoa, sushi and even vegetable juices,” she had said.

Future projects

In related news, the media reports that star director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is personally casting for Heera Mandi and is considering ace actors like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan and Manisha Koirala for the project.

Heera Mandi is also set to be SLB’s first collaboration with the streaming giant, Netflix and the project is expected to go on floors in the first half of 2021. The actress will be seen next in Kabir Khan’s ’83 opposite husband, Ranveer Singh.

Deepika Padukone also loves chocolate cake

Deepika Padukone took to her Instagram to ask her fans what pictures they would like to see and her enthusiastic following of 52 million followers responded with myriad queries.

The first question was: “Something you can’t live without”.
