Elon Musk is one of the most controversial businessmen, and when it was announced that he will be hosting the upcoming Saturday Night Live episode, many expressed their anger towards roping him for the show. While people are dissing the idea of seeing him in SNL, the Telsa CEO is busy preparing for his skit.

The 49-year-old business magnate told Page Six that the skit will be all about “much ado about nothing.” He added that everyone is being friendly with him on the sets, and the rehearsals are going quite well. Last week, a source also told Page Six that the cast members opposing Musk’s hosting stint, do not have to appear in sketches if they do not want to.

“Speaking historically if a cast member has been that unhappy, they don’t have to do it, SNL boss, Lorne Michaels, won’t ever make them do anything they don’t want to do,” added the source.

Soon after SNL revealed that Musk would be hosting the show, Bowen Yang and Aidy Bryant reacted to the news, expressing their displeasure on social media. While Yang posted a frown emoji on his Instagram story, Bryant took to Instagram to post a screenshot of a tweet from Senator Bernie Sanders. The tweet read, “The 50 wealthiest people in America in this country own more wealth than some 165 MILLION Americans,” adding, “That is a moral obscenity.”

Announcing his stint in SNL earleir, Musk had tweeted, “Let’s find out how live Saturday Night Live really is,” with a mischievous emoji. Yang shared also took a screenshot of the tweet and posted it on his social media, saying, “what the *** does this even mean.”

Musk had also tweeted, “Throwing out some skit ideas for SNL. What should I do?” to which Chris Reddrelied, “First I’d call Em sketches,” adding a cry-laughing emoji. Andrew Dismukes also expressed his displeasure by posting a photograph of the veteran SNL cast member Cheri Oteri, saying, “ONLY CEO I WANNA DO SKETCH WITH IS Cher-E Oteri.”

Pete Davidson, however, is excited to have Musk onboard. During his interview with Breakfast Club, he said, “I just don’t understand why this is the dude everyone’s so freaked out about. I was like, what did he do? He’s just like a really wealthy businessman that makes, like, nerd [expletive]. He’s really nice. I’m excited.”
