The trailer features a voice-over of Bhat taking viewers through the time-old fable of The Scorpion And The Frog, in a bid to create a cold and intense mood. In it, Vijay Varma and Bhatt are having a conversation, where the former doesn’t seem too happy with Roshan Matthew’s character in the film. Venerated actor, Shefali Shah, too, features in the movie and is set to essay the role of Alia’s mother. In so far as first impressions go, this trailer certainly packs a punch.

Directed by debutante, Jasmeet K Reen, Darlings will have music scored by Vishal Bhardwaj and written by Gulzar. The movie also marks Bhatt’s debut as a producer, which she is backing along with Varma and Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chilies Entertainment. Aside from this, she will star next in the much-awaited movie, Brahmastra, which is currently in the post-production stage.

As for the teaser, many are saying that it reminds them of Bhatt’s role in Gully Boy which she portrayed with immense flair. While some others still, are pining for a theatrical release of Darlings. Let’s take a look at what else netizens are saying about this:
