5 Films That Celebrate The Joys Of Being Single

We’ve catalogued a list of movies that will make you feel a little less shitty about being single

‘Tis the season for weddings and you’re surely going to attend quite a few. There were will be questions regarding your singleness and many will try to guilt you into feeling bad about yourself. In fact, when you notice that smile on the bride’s face and the cheer that the groom’s friends send-up, you’ll wish you weren’t so goddamn single.

But hey, it’s okay. While we are bombarded with films about true love and all that, we’ve catalogued a list of movies that will make you feel a little less shitty about being single.

Queen

This has to be the number one movie on this list. Kangana Ranaut’s character, Rani, gets dumped a day before her wedding. It seems like the entire Universe is conspiring against her. However, we all know how this story ends and it’s beautiful.

Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu

Not as feel-good as Queen but it does show us that not every relationship has to last forever and that sometimes, we just have to make peace with the fact that our feelings won’t be reciprocated.

Eat, Pray, Love

It’s always good to travel alone – somewhere down the line, you end up finding yourself.

Legally Blonde

Leave your toxic boyfriend behind like Elle Woods and accomplish all the dreams you never knew you had.

Jab We Met

Okay, so this isn’t technically about singlehood – it’s about a girl who is so desperate to get married that she needs a reality check from the Universe to realise that maybe, it’s not all that it’s made out to be.
