All ardent fans of Imtiaz Ali (and his films) are probably well-aware of his penchant for travelling. The director usually makes it a point to inculcate travel as an element in each of his films, one way or the other. Imtiaz, in an interview, once stated how films have been his “travel diaries” and that for him, “movie-making is sort of linked with his personal travel”.
