Why Jennifer Aniston And Brad Pitt Are Hollywood’s Original Power Couple

They seemed to do so much justice to the ‘made for each other’ tag.

It’s so sad. It’s so heartbreaking. Even though we absolutely adored the Brangelina relationship, we were left completely shattered when Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston decided to part ways. They seemed to do so much justice to the ‘made for each other’ tag.

Recently, after Jennifer Aniston’s split with Justin Theroux, it’s quite possible for the couple to get together (the internet is indulging in some wishful thinking) again. Some are even betting big money on it.

We think they were Hollywood’s original power couple, and their love story is just as sweet as they are good looking.

They met during a blind date and they both knew it right away that they were meant to be together. “We both did on our first date. It was weird,” Aniston says in an interview with Diane Sawyer.

While in a relationship with Brad, Aniston told Rolling Stone in an interview about what she looked for in a man. “A friend, someone who’s equal, with whom you’re comfortable. The ultimate is finding a place where you have no inhibitions, nothing to hide, where you can learn with one another. Of course, I’m not above going, “And he did that!” Every man I’ve been with, I have to say, “Thank you for this lesson.” I am not, by the way, a spokeswoman on relationships. I’m learning myself. Generally they’ve been great, but some suck,” she said. We are sure, Brad filled those big boots with ease.

“We do have similar tastes — very eclectic in that we’ll listen to pretty much anything. We also go through phases together, like that band Bran Van 3000, their first album. When we started dating, we were listening to a lot of Radiohead. They just sounded so good at that point in our relationship,” she told Rolling Stone.

“My friends were all supportive, especially when they found out what a loving human being Brad is. At first they’re like, ‘I hope he’s not an a–hole, some conceited f–k or whatever.’ But you get past that in five minutes. Which is a real tribute to who he is. He just disarms you immediately. But, I mean, nobody went, ‘Dude. Brad Pitt!’ and gave me a thumbs up and a wink. They were just happy for me,” she added.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t a happily ever after story, and the couple divorced in 2005.
