Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are reportedly headed for a splitsville.

According to reports by Page Six, multiple sources have confirmed that a “divorce is imminent,” and the outlet reports that Kardashian has hired Laura Wasser, the powerful divorce attorney who has previously represented Angelina Jolie, Heidi Klum, and Kardashian herself, during her 2011 divorce from Kris Humphries.

West has been spending time away from his family. Even during the Christmas holidays, the rapper was away at his lavish Wyoming ranch. The family was previously seen together at Kardashian’s 40th birthday party in October.

“He knows that she’s done. She has had enough, and she told him that she wants some space to figure out her future,” a source tells PEOPLE, adding that West, 43, is bracing for a filing but doesn’t know when it will take place. “He’s okay. He’s sad, but okay. He knows the inevitable will happen, and he knows that it’s coming soon,” the source adds.

“Kim has work and projects that are important to her, and Kanye has his,” the source said. “Their lives don’t overlap much.”

The couple had a problematic summer with West when he decided to run for presidential elections and revealed details about his personal life via Twitter. Kardashian had then asked for compassion from fans at the time as it was believed that the rapper was struggling with bipolar disorder.

In September 2020, West once again revealed some things on Twitter about the family, the reality star reportedly decided she didn’t want to continue with the relationship any longer. “It’s the same thing over and over and over again. He’s on very thin ice with her right now, and she’s truly trying to decide what to do to protect the kids, but also her own sanity. The whole thing is discouraging and difficult for her,” a source revealed to PEOPLE.
