Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu made made a rather controversial comment about Bollywood recently. While doing the promotions for Major, the actor was quoted saying, “I did get a lot of offers in Hindi but I don’t think they can afford me. I don’t want to waste my time working in an industry which can’t afford me. The stardom and the respect I get here is huge, so I never really thought of leaving my industry and going to some other industry.” 

The 46-year old actor, who enjoys a cult-like following in Tamil Nadu has been topping the list of highest-paid South Indian actors for years now. Which got us thinking, what is the superstar’s net worth? Here’s what we found. 

Net worth

While details are scarce, many online reports suggest that Mahesh Babu is rumoured to be worth around Rs 113 Crores. A majority of which comes from the actor’s fee, backend earnings from the box office and endorsement deals, for which he’s rumoured to charge around Rs 1.5 to 2 crore. The actor also runs a production house by the name of ‘Mahesh Babu Entertainment,’ which has released titles like Sarileru Neekevvaru, Sarkaru Vaari Paata and the upcoming Major.

Salary & box office returns 

According to multiple sources, Mahesh Babu charges a whopping Rs 45-50 crore per movie. Which shouldn’t come as a surprise, considering the actor’s movies have done remarkably well at the box office. With Pokiri being one of the highest-grossing Telugu movies of all time, and Sarileru Neekevvaru doing a business of more than Rs 2.5 billion! 

Swanky real estate 

As one would expect, the Telugu superstar owns an array of houses including one in Film Nagar, Hyderabad. This particular house boasts amenities like a mini theatre, a fully-equipped gym, a swimming pool, a huge library and more. In addition to this, the actor also owns two houses in Jubliee Hills, Hyderabad which are rumoured to be worth Rs 28 crore. 

A drool-worthy car collection

Some of the beauties in his garage include a Range Rover Vogue, an Audi A8, a Lamborghini Gallardo, Mercedes Benz E class, BMW 730LD, a V8 Toyota Land Cruiser and a Mercedes E280. Recently, the actor also acquired a brand spanking new Audi e-Tron GT.
