Friends actor Matthew Perry has clearly learned the art of embracing his past. In his new memoir titled Friends, Lovers, And The Big Terrible Thing, the popular TV actor discusses losses, betrayals, addiction, and of course, his torrid love affairs.

Julia Roberts

According to Perry’s memoir, the actors kinda dated from 1995 to 1996 after Roberts appeared in the Super Bowl episode while he was still associated with Friends. “Julia had been offered the post-Super Bowl episode in season 2 and she would only do the show if she could be in my storyline. Let me say that again — she would only do the show if she could be in my storyline,” revealed Perry, who then enthused that they eventually parted ways, and blamed his insecurities for the same.

Yasmine Bleeth 

In one of those iconic episodes of Friends, Perry had no qualms about admitting how his heart always skips a beat for Bleeth. Fast forward to 1996, the alleged couple had a shirt that testified their secret romance. While the relationship couldn’t go on for long, the references that his character made on the show continue to stay fresh in the memories of fans.

Neve Campbell 

Did you know that Chandler also had a thing for Campbell? In 1998, they did a movie named Three to Tango. It is believed that sparks flew between the two during the filming of the movie. However, their romance faded as soon as the movie premiered. Some love stories are just not meant to be. Right?

Maeve Quinlan  

It’s safe to say that Quinlan was Perry’s first (serious) love. The ex-couple was reportedly in a relationship from 2002 to 2003, and were often spotted together. While the reason behind their split is not known, fans were surprised to see the two pose together at a charity event In 2006.

Lauren Graham 

Perry also found temporary love in Gilmore Girls actress Lauren Graham in the year 2003. The whirlwind romance barely lasted a year. It appears that they don’t have any bad blood between them, as the former couple went on to work in several movies together after they split. They even played each other’s exes in the movie The Odd Couple. 

Rachel Dunn 

Towards the end of 2003, speculations ran amok that Perry was seeing volleyball player Dunn. This went on until Friends ended. “With Rachel in my life, I know that I can be very committed and not some selfish guy who just wants to hang out with friends. I want to spend time with my girlfriend and explore what it means to have a much closer relationship than I’ve previously had time for,” he was once quoted saying.

Lizzy Caplan

His relationship with Caplan has been his longest to date. They started off in 2006 and kept it under wraps for a long time. They eventually split in 2012. Caplan is known for her antics, as far as avoiding conversations pertaining to Caplain is concerned.

Molly Hurwitz 

In 2018, Perry allegedly entered into a relationship with Molly Hurwitz. In 2020, he made it official on social media official by putting up a post with Hurwitz, marking their second anniversary as each other’s valentine. It is believed that Perry even proposed marriage in November.
