If you’re even remotely aware of what’s going on in the world, you’ll have heard about the mess that followed after the BJP’s official social media handles shared the trailer of The Accidental Prime Minister. Now, Timesnownews reports that there is going to be a biopic on current Prime Minister Narendra Modi and get this – the film will star Vivek Oberoi in the lead and will be directed by Omung Kumar.

Kumar had earlier directed the critically acclaimed Sarbjit and Mary Kom and according to trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, the film’s poster will be launched on January 7.

“The team acquired the necessary permissions to go forth with the film only a few weeks ago. Vivek has been working on his distinct looks and will be part of extensive workshops. A big chunk of the film will be shot in Gujarat, apart from other states”, a source told News18.
