Out of the many roles that Salman Khan has played on screen, his Dabangg character – Chulbul Pandey has been one of the most favourite ones amongst his fans. His cop avatar, who has a quirky personality, is now getting its own animated series. The series is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar VIP.

The show which is titled as Dabangg – The Animated Series, is the latest addition to the kids’ content section on the OTT platform. Produced by Cosmos-Maya and Arbaaz Khan Productions, the first eight episodes of the show are available in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu for kids to enjoy. Chulbul Pandey is accompanied by his brother Makkhi (played by Arbaaz Khan) and Rajjo (essayed by Sonakshi Sinha), in the animated version as well.

Sharing his excitement, Khan said in a statement, “I couldn’t be happier that Chulbul, Makkhi and Rajjo are returning in animated avatars to entertain the children of our country. I cannot wait to binge-watch all episodes of Dabangg – The Animated Series with my nieces and nephews while at home.”

Animation has opened up yet another dimension for this character and I’m thrilled Cosmos-Maya did that. I hope that all children, along with their families, take time out and enjoy watching this together,” the 55-year-old actor added.

Earlier talking about his characters like Chulbul Pandey, Khan said that they can never be role models for his fans. Talking to Indian Express, Khan quipped, “Dabangg (Chulbul Pandey) is a character, I can’t take that character back home. Radhe is a character, I can’t take back that character. I can’t walk around in front of my parents as Chulbul Pandey. My dad would hit me, my mom would slap me and my brothers and sisters would be embarrassed of me. So, I am at home as a son and as a brother. I would rather be somebody like Bajrangi Bhaijaan.”

“I don’t take the flirting and the love story back home with the heroines, nor do I take all the action, beating up 50-60 people, chopper sequences. I don’t have that in me. That’s a self-obsessed or egoistic person. I know what my capacity is, I know how much I can do and I know how much the stunt double can do. I don’t take that back home but I take a bit of the goodness back,” added the Radhe actor.
