Eugene and Daniel Levy have disclosed some disappointing news to all fans of the show Schitt’s Creek.

The “Farewell Tour” that was first delayed, now has to be scrapped entirely.

“When we postponed the Schitt’s Creek: The Farewell Tour, we had every hope and intention of traveling to see you later this year,” read part of the statement the duo shared via social media.

“However, despite our best efforts to reschedule while keeping your health and safety at the forefront, we’ve found that state and local mandates vary too widely to do so in the near future.” They have assured supporters that all tickets will be refunded.

“We’re sorry to be missing you, and we will continue to try and find a way to see you in the future,” expressed the co-creators and actors.

The multi-city tour was announced first in May 2020, mere weeks before the shows finale made its way to the audience. It was supposed to give fans of the show a chance to interact with the cast and be made privy to some behind the scenes clips and anecdotes. The Levy father-son duo (Johnny and David Rose), Catherine O’Hara (Moira Rose), Annie Murphy (Alexis Rose), Emily Hampshire (Stevie Budd), and Noah Reid (Patrick Brewer) were all supposed to be part of the tour.

Initially, eighteen nights were announced at venues such as the Orpheum in Los Angeles, The Chicago Theater in Chicago, The Borgata in Atlantic City, and The MGM National Harbor in Maryland.

The show has set a record for the most wins by a comedy series at the Emmys with its seven wins back in 2020. It is a comedy that stems from the question “what if the Kardashians lost their money?” In the show, an ultra-wealthy family of four goes bankrupt and have to change their ways as they find refuge in the small town of Schitt’s Creek.
