A dog might be a man’s best friend, but sometimes it can also be the reason for your divorce. Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin decided to part ways after 25 years of marriage. And, well, the reason was absurd as reports claimed that the couple fought over a new Rottweiler named Dwight. The wife did not want another pet while the Rocky star wanted the dog for “protection”. This reportedly led to an “extremely heated argument that brought up other issues,” ending up in them filing for divorce.

However, Stallone denied the rumors. “We did not end the relationship on such a trivial argument,” he told TMZ. But it was too late for him to do the damage control. Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra

NBA star Dennis Rodman got married to Baywatch star Carmen Electra in a booze-fuelled Las Vegas ceremony. Strangely, alcohol was cited as the reason that led to them parting ways. Nine days after the marriage, Rodman filed for an annulment. Turns out, Dennis had been partying extensively before the wedding, and this did not sit well with Rodman. Electra also later revealed that she instantly regretted the quickie wedding.

Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian

Humphries claims that his wedding to the Kardashian star was a gimmick. They were married for just 72 days and Humphries once revealed that Kardashian staged the whole wedding for media attention. Kim K later confessed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that her marriage to Humphries happened only because “her biological clock was ticking.”

Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman

Hawke and Thurman decided to part ways because the Before Sunrise actor felt like he was a mere babysitter to the couple’s kids, while Thurman was on her way to becoming a superstar. “I’m living in a hotel room taking care of my kids while you’re off on a film set six hours a day doing what you love. Do that for nine months and see what a good mood you’re in. I don’t know if it’s just too hard to be married to a woman that wants to be a movie star. I know that she has that right to want that,” he told ABC News in 2006.

Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock

Believe it or not, Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock actually got divorced because of a film! Rock saw a screening of Sacha Baron Cohen’s Borat. The absurd comedy film featured Cohen’s character wanting to marry Anderson, and the screenplay infuriated Rock. He humiliated Anderson and allegedly called her a whore for doing this movie. A few days later, an angry Anderson filed for divorce.

Jim Carrey and Lauren Holly

Lauren Holly once revealed that her nine-month marriage to Jim Carrey ended because of the endless intrusion on the part of tabloid reporters. “I felt like everybody knew. I felt like they felt sorry for me or something. That was kind of a weird thing to play that part out of it, the ending part, out in public,” Holly told Oprah once.
