Ezra Miller’s The Flash Trailer Shows Michael Keaton Return As Batman
Michael Keaton Returns As Batman In ‘ The Flash’, First Trailer Leaves Twitterati In A Tizzy

The trailer, spanning 3 minutes, piques excitement levels for multiple reasons

The first trailer of The Flash is out, much to the delight of DC fans the world over. Slated to release on June 16, the movie features Ezra Miller as the titular hero. In the trailer— which was dropped amidst the Super Bowl 2023—audiences are given a peek into what’s next on Miller’s radar. The narrative takes one through Barry Allen’s time travel, in pursuit of saving his mother who was mysteriously murdered when he was young. However, the path of time travel is dicey and things go awry when Allen lands on an alternate dimension.

The official synopsis reads: “Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Superheroes to turn to.”

While the trailer is far from disappointing, what actually takes the cake is that Michael Keaton will be wearing the Batman suit after years. Ben Affleck too would be suiting up as Batman alongside him, as the movie features both Keaton and Affleck as different versions of Batman. Actors like Kisersey Clemon, Antje Traue, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, and Maribel Verdu also have interesting roles to play.

Unsurprisingly, Twitter Users Are Stoked By What They Saw, And Here’s How They’ve Reacted:

Miller’s legal troubles stirred up a storm even on his professional front—DCU, included. Previously, Miller essayed the role of Flash in Zack Snyder’s Justice League and also did a special cameo in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. Lofty expectations are being pinned on the actor, yet again.

Flash is expected to amp up the evolution of the DC Universe, currently helmed by James Gunn and Peter Safran. The film was originally scheduled to open last year, but reportedly got pushed at the post-production stage due to COVID.
