The television industry might be referred to as the small screen but the kind of money that it mints is huge. Highly profitable, with massive fandom and viewership, it’s a lucrative space for actors to be in, who take back hefty pay cheques from the shows. Here are a few of the top earners from the television industry: 

Kapil Sharma 

Kapil Sharma’s eponymous show is popular, no questions asked. Reportedly, he gets Rs 50 lakh per episode. To date, the series has seen almost all the A-listers of Bollywood, with many confessing their love for it. 

Sunil Grover 

The popularity of Sunil Grover’s fictional character, Gutthi on Kapil Sharma’s show is unmatched. He is a versatile actor and his comic timing is also on point. Grover takes home Rs 10-12 lakh per episode, reports suggest.

Rupali Ganguly 

Ganguly’s show Anupamaa constantly trends on social media. She is one of the highest-paid television actresses in India and draws around Rs 3 lakh per episode.  

Hina Khan  

Khan’s name is synonymous with the show Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She also portrays the iconic role of Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 and reportedly charges Rs 2 Lakh per episode. She has walked the red carpet at Cannes and has also been a part of Bigg Boss.  

Ronit Roy 

Roy rose to fame after doing shows like Kasautii Zindagi Kay and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Now that he has returned to television after a hiatus, he has been earning around Rs 1.5 lakh per episode. He is currently part of 2022’s Swaran Ghar, starring opposite Sangita Ghosh. 

Jennifer Winget  

Winget started her journey as a child actress in Bollywood films. When she grew up she started working in television shows like Dill Mill Gaye and Saraswatichandra. In the last few years, she has done shows like Beyhadh and Bepannaah for which she reportedly got Rs 1.5 per episode.  

Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya 

Dahiya’s iconic role as Ishita in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein helped put her on the map. While it’s been some time since she did a full-fledged TV show, she has made multiple appearances in reality shows like Nach Baliye and Khatron Ke Khiladi. She reportedly charges Rs 1 lakh per episode.
