Three Billboards, Darkest Hour And More: 10 Golden Globes Winners You Should Watch ASAP

Seth Meyers who hosted the show, was in fine form and opened the show with, “Good evening, ladies and remaining gentlemen.”

The 2018 Golden Globes Awards commenced today, and other than the wonderful films that bagged the coveted trophy, a lot of attention was given to sexual harassment that is prevalent in Hollywood and most of the women wore black in protest.

On the good side, Seth Meyers who hosted the show, was in fine form and opened the show with, “Good evening, ladies and remaining gentlemen.” It was a difficult job, considering the mood in Hollywood, but Meyers handled it perfectly. “There’s a new era on the way, I can tell, because it’s been years since a white man was this nervous in Hollywood. By the way, a special hello, to the host other upcoming award shows who are watching me tonight like the first dog they shot into outer space,” he added.

There was also a hilarious segment where he let celebrities like Jessica Chastain and Hong Chau complete his jokes.

So without further ado, let’s look at 10 Golden Globes Winners that you should watch.

The Disaster Artist

A biography based on the making of Tommy Wiseau’s The Room, which is a terrible, terrible movie. Franco delivers an ace performance, and there are chances you’ll become a fan once you watch this.

Darkest Hour

A war drama film, Darkest Hour sees Gary Oldman play none other than Winston Churchill. Need we say more?

The Greatest Showman

It’s good to be different, that’s the message of the film The Greatest Showman. Hugh Jackman delivers a performance of a lifetime, and you’ll find it hard to imagine how can an actor play such a role and pull off a character like Wolverine with panache too.

Big Little Lies

A TV mini-series starring Nicole Kidman, Big Little Lies is extremely mysterious and one of those shows that’ll keep you hooked to your seats. What’s more? There’s a second season on the way.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

Winner of the Best Screenplay award, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is a crime film with doses of black comedy. Doesn’t that sound interesting?

I, Tonya

Another black comedy, I, Tonya is based on the life of figure skater Tonya Harding. If you’re a nut for sports films, don’t miss this one.

In The Fade

Diane Kruger, who you’ll remember as Helen in Troy, brings her A-game to the table in this German drama film.

Lady Bird

If you’re looking for something light-hearted, Lady Bird should be your pick. It is a coming-of-age film about a girl called Christine McPherson, who is portrayed brilliantly by Saoirse Ronan.

The Shape Of Water

The Shape Of Water is a strange film certainly not for the faint of heart. It’s directed by Guillermo Del Toro, and you should definitely watch the trailer to understand why we think it’s strange and something like you’ve never seen before.

This Is Us

A TV-series which has two seasons, This Is Us features an ensemble cast including the likes of Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore. Like Big Little Lies, the season is still running and you can expect the next season soon.
