Yesterday, Zayn took to Instagram to post a cover he did of the Hindi song ‘Allah Duhai Rai’ from the movie Race 3 and it is pretty bad.

The international singer posted his take on the song and was received with mixed reactions. His stans of course loved it probably without even giving it a listen, whereas some people genuinely didn’t like it. The video posted on Instagram features him singing over an electronic-pop beat that was in the original song. His voice is going all over the place and it just seems completely off with the beat. What doesn’t help are the trippy psychedelic visuals going on in the background, that are similar to the ones you’d find in a cheap techno club in Goa.

This isn’t the first time he’s covered a Hindi song. Zayn had earlier put out his cover of Kailash Kher’s ‘Allah Ke Bande’ and ‘Teri Deewani’. His cover of ‘Allah Ke Bande’ was a testament to the fact that he is capable of doing great covers. It has garnered over 2.1 million views on YouTube and features Zayn giving his rendition of the classic song. The ‘Teri Deewani’ cover on the other hand, is almost unbearable. It was so bad that Zayn himself removed it from his Instagram page because of the excessive trolling the video received. 

Why Zayn posts such bad covers after being such a gifted and talented singer is beyond us, but we hope he just sticks to putting out his studio singles.
